Uncovered Gambling – Are You Always Given Your Bet Back On Top Of Your Winnings?
If you make a bet in some kind of gambling and you win, are you usually given your bet back on top of your winnings? Do the rules vary in casinos/betting shops/horse racing etc.?
For instance if i bet £10 on odds 3/1 i win £30 but then do i get my £10 bet back as well?
no it depends on how the pay line is worded if it 3 for 1 than the house takes you bet and pays you 3. if the pay line says 3 to 1 than you keep you bet and get 3.
Yes 3/1 is bet $10 to win $30. you always get your bet back. if you didn't get your bet back you would only be winning $20 (making it 2/1).
